Are your kids just starting to learn their ABCs? Are they being taught how to read and write the letters of the alphabet in school? Do you want to give your child a head start in his/her education? Are you looking for a new, fun way to teach children the alphabet instead of using those same flash cards over and over again? Then Letter Trace is the perfect app to use!

Developed with toddler/pre-k/preschool aged children in mind, this letter tracing game allows kids to become familiar with the alphabet. With built-in trace guides, children are first shown a letter, and then watch as an animation shows them how to trace it step-by-step. The children then follow along with the animation by tracing the letter themselves. This allows kids to learn how to properly write each letter, stroke by stroke, and it gets them comfortable with the writing process. When the letter is traced correctly (be sure to stay in the lines!), the child is rewarded special animations for encouragement!

Both uppercase and lowercase are available for practice.

Ready to try something new? This app also offers a section that teaches kids how to write short words! When your child has become used to writing each letter individually, challenge him/her to write a full word, using the skills that they have developed.

To further assist in getting kids familiar with their ABCs, this app also features image association. Kids can see that the letter “D” is used in the word “dog” and “J” in “jellyfish.” For young ones, this is a great way to get them to understand the correlation between letters, words, and sounds.

You can track your child’s progress in the app by seeing the percentage that s/he has successfully completed. Your child can stay motivated by seeing all of the badges earned while progressing through the game.

Letter Trace teaches kids everything they need to know about the alphabet. Use this app to introduce them to the alphabet before they enter a school environment, or use it to supplement their learning once in school! Making sure that the alphabet is not unfamiliar to kids will boost their confidence in and out of the classroom, and will give them a great advantage in school. With fun, colorful animations and an easy-to-use set up, this is one of those apps that every parent should have for their little ones!
